Cudicini has left Spurs on a free transfer to rejoin former team mate Robbie Keane at LA Galaxy. But what's of more interest is the story behind Cudicini and his move to being a bench warmer late in his career. A goalie who could have easily cut it as a first choice in the premier league but now at the closing of his career is potentially looking for that opportunity. I think his awful crash in London leaving him with broken wrists, would have an impact on anyone and should be noticed sensitively, but one wonders why he didn't look to displace an erratic Gomes or leave to battle it out elsewhere before the incident.
Voted Chelsea's player of the year in the 2002-3 season after taking over on his arrival, it was Mourinho and Cech's arrival that affected his chances there. Moving on to Tottenham on a free, he was also seen as second choice there. A goalie with a good calibre and pedigree would do well to end his career in somewhere like LA which could do with a good goalkeeper and in turn get acclaim for his performances, but the question mark will still surround what could have been regards an illustrious career had it not been for injuries that affected his chances.

New blog
Another blog about goalkeepers, but this time about football. Seeing as I'm going to attempt spreading out in journalistic coverage and spread my wings as a beginner journo, thought I may as well blog about footie goalies, seeing as it is the world's biggest sport. And therefore there's more to write about! Hope you enjoy my meandering thoughts and coverage.
